Billing Terms and Conditions of Sale

Business Name: Spoke Joinery and Cabinetry Jurisdiction: New South Wales, Australia Currency: All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

1. Payment Terms

  • Standard Product Orders: Full payment is required at the time of checkout for all standard catalogue items. Production will not commence until payment has cleared.

  • Custom Design & Consultation Fee: The Design & Consultation Deposit  is a non-refundable service fee. This covers the administrative cost of drafting initial plans, material estimation, and securing a production slot.

    • Note: If you proceed with the full project build, this fee will be deducted from your final project invoice. If you choose not to proceed, the fee is retained to cover drafting and consultation time.

2. Production Lead Times

  • Made-to-Order: Our products are not off-the-shelf; they are hand-finished in our local joinery workshop.

  • Estimated Lead Time: Please refer to the specific lead time stated on the product page (typically 15–20 business days).

  • Delays: While we strive to meet these timelines, Spoke Joinery and Cabinetry is not liable for delays caused by material shortages, third-party freight interruptions, or force majeure events. We will notify you immediately if a significant delay is expected.

3. Shipping & Delivery Policy

  • Curbside Delivery Only: Due to the size, weight, and bulk of joinery products, all deliveries are strictly "Curbside" or "Loading Dock" only. The courier is not insured to carry goods up stairs, into lifts, or inside your premises.

  • Receiver Responsibility: You must ensure capable assistance (minimum 2 people) is available to receive the goods and move them indoors immediately upon arrival.

  • Site Access: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the joinery dimensions (including packaging) will fit through your doorways, lifts, and corridors. We are not responsible for goods that do not fit into your premises.

  • Missed Delivery: If you are not present to receive the goods at the agreed time, a re-delivery fee may be charged by the courier service.

4. Refunds, Returns & Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

A. Change of Mind

  • As our products are made-to-order based on your specific selection of size, finish, and configuration, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credits for "change of mind" or if you have ordered the wrong size/orientation.

  • Please verify your floor measurements and finish selections carefully before confirming your order.

B. Major Failure & Defects

  • You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

  • You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

C. Reporting Damages

  • You must inspect all goods upon arrival. Any visual shipping damage must be noted on the courier’s delivery docket at the time of signing.

  • Please report any structural defects or concealed damage to us via email within 48 hours of delivery, accompanied by clear photos of the damage and packaging.

5. Warranty

  • We provide a 3-Year Structural Warranty on all manufactured joinery units.

  • What is covered: Manufacturing defects, failure of structural integrity (under normal use), and hardware failure (drawer runners, hinges).

  • What is NOT covered: Normal wear and tear, water damage (swelling due to spills, mopping, or flooding), impact damage (chips/scratches after installation), heat damage, or damage caused by improper assembly/installation by third parties.

6. Custom Projects & Bespoke Work

For custom projects outside of our standard online catalogue:

  • A formal quote and final design proof will be provided after the consultation.

  • Production on custom projects will only commence once the final design proof is signed off and a 50% deposit of the total project value is received.

  • Once the design is signed off and materials are cut, custom orders cannot be cancelled or altered without incurring additional costs.
